Description:

Join us for Oscar Wilde's comedy masterpiece! "The Importance of Being Earnest, A Trivial Comedy for Serious People", revolves around one of the most ingenious, and hilarious, cases of mistaken identity ever put into a play. Cecily Cardew and Gwendolen Fairfax are both in love with the same mythical suitor. The reliable Jack Worthing has wooed Gwendolen under the name Ernest, while the adorable dandy Algernon Moncrieff has also posed as Ernest to win the heart of Cecily. When all four arrive at Jack's country home on the same weekend accompanied by the formidable Lady Bracknell, the gallants must grapple with the riotous consequences of their deceptions. Our production at The Madeline Garden in Pasadena features a full cast of professional Los Angeles actors, beautiful costumes, and an immersive dining experience. All general admissions will include a full English high-tea meal of tomato bisque, assorted tea sandwiches and savories, cream scone with clotted cream and jam, crème brûlée, tiramisu, chocolate strawberries, and other seasonal selections. Alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase.
